Cut around one large patch of pins then simple place in its spot on a dish or plate with small amount of water. Misting at least daily is recommended to ensure humidity is high enough and the block does not dry out. (Above 80%)

Be Amazed!
With a doubling time of 12-24 hours you will be watching them grow before your eyes! Depending on the species and environmental conditions 2-5 days is usually the time it takes for the pins to form into mature mushrooms ready for eating.

Delicious Rewards
To harvest simply grab around the base and pull with a gentle twist. Ensure all the fruiting bodies are pulled off to ensure better future crops.
The mushrooms are ready when the cap begins to lift and the curled edge thins. They can be eaten at any stage but taste best just before the gills open to release their spores.

Once you have harvested your first flush of mushrooms the block will need to rest, remove any squishy aborted mushroom, and stem bits. Stop misting after the first harvest, and start again when new mushrooms form.
